Vineyard Rudolf Zimmerlin - a strong Family Tradition

The Vineyard Rudolf Zimmerlin is located in „Bötzingen am Kaiserstuhl“, the oldest winemaking location in the wine region of Baden (769 AD), very close to the historical city of Freiburg.

The vineyard was founded in 1955 by Olga and Rudolf Zimmerlin with a clear focus on growing and making Pinot wines, a specialty of the Kaiserstuhl region. After the father past away in the 1970s his son took over. Dietmar, a trained oenologist, grew the business sucessfully. Claudia Zimmerlin, his wife, took over the role as the managing director in 1996. Today, Claudia still remains an important shareholder in the company and is involved in the operations of the Vineyard.
